I used Xconfigurator a number of times, but failed. Screen went blank and I
had to reboot machine. After a number of failures, I succeeded but with
flickering windows and virtually no colors. I tried a number of options;
most of the time I used a resolution of 640*480 for 8bpp in vga mode. My
monitor is Philips 14B(4CM5289) which is not listed in the monitor databe in
RH, with horizontal sync 30-50 khz and vertical sync 50-100 hz; and video
card is S3 with 2mb vram. I am using RH ver 6.
Do I need to change my video card ?
