Hi! My Linux PC is on a private network. I use a (Linux based) router with IP masquerading to connect to the outside world. Things mostly work fine. But I cannot run an X client on a machine on the "other" side of the router and have the display on my Linux PC because the DISPLAY environment variable on the remote machine needs my IP address, which it doesn't know anything about as I am on a private network, working with a masqueraded address.
