do you have the original cd from which you installed?
if you haven't, get one. make sure it is bootable. boot from it and at the
prompt write:
linux rescue root=/dev/hda1 initrd=0
this will boot you into your installation. note: i am assuming your /root is
mapped to /dev/hda1. substitute it with whatever you have.
when you're inside, just do a " lilo -v". if the output of this command is
error-free, take out the cd and reboot. that's all. you'll be able to boot
normally now.
