Hello,
 I just did it yesterday .....go to ..
"ftp://ftp.rfc822.org/pub/mirror/ftp.alsa-project.org/pub/driver/"
and download the latest alsa driver in .bz2 format
..unzip it and go through the instructions written in
the INSTALL file....
Its real easy ....and wow it sounds great to have ur
mp3's played while ur working in linux environment
....
