Hi all, I just got back to cal from Bangalore... where I had gone for participating in IT.COM.. it was six great days... yes, six, coz on 31st Oct. we were setting up the systems for the stalls.. it was a great show... almost all the LUGs in country were represented by almost more than one member.... we had some mad-mad crowds in the last two days... Those of you who know Partha-da (Dr. Partha Pratim Ghosh --> co-founder, ILUG-Cal) sends his best wishes and regards.... I think its high time we started to have our monthly meetings once more... before I left, IIRC, Tathagata made some suggestions... and few others as well... can we discuss these.... Ranjan-da: We need you help in securing a meeting place at SXC now that PPG is out of the scene... please mail me in private re this. Malay-da: we need to meet... got loads of news about how CSI-Goa chapter was subverted to sponser all ILUG-Goa meets... Everybody: Its been more than a year, since we had Linux-Interact '99... its time for Linux-Interact 2000 - 2001... shall we start planning for that?? I might be able to get SuSE India (yes!! they have an Indian division) into the show as well... I met their CEO at IT.COM a very nice and friendly chap by the name of Micheal Burghard. So, let the ideas and suggestions flow... lets get the things going... we need the young, enthusiasts amongst you to carry these ideas out... so who all volunteers??? BTW, our ever-obliging web-host, Russell McOrmand wrote me that he plans to come down to Calcutta during the last two weeks of December...
