hope some Solaris guru out there can help with this.
I'm trying to set up NIS+ on a Solaris m/c - I started with the command
nisserver -v -r -d xxx.yyy (xxx.yyy being my NIS domain name)
The output I get is as below:

setup NIS_GROUP environment variable ...

running nisinit ...
This machine is in the "xxx.yyy." NIS+ domain.
Setting up root server ...
All done.
starting root server at security level 0 to create credentials...
running nissetup to create standard directories and tables ...
nis.cts.: NIS+ servers unreachable.
couldn't create org_dir.xxx.yyy.
**ERROR: it failed to create the tables.

Can anybody suggest whats wrong?
