Yes I checked them with the helpdesk. I also pinged to the above local and
remote IP addresses that you see and it went off fine...

I right-click the rp3 connection window and choose disconnect. About the
modprobe message, well I don't know about this part. I had upgraded to
kernel 2.4.1 and included all support in the kernel and not as modules. I
started getting this message after that. However I should also tell you that
once by some chance I managed to connect to the internet in spite of this
message although I kept getting some kind of hostname error message which I
cannot remember now. But the next day it was back to the same thing. Do you
think you can help? Thank you again...

I hope not! Someone was suggesting that it could be a 'defaultroute'
problem. Do you know of the wvdial counterpart of defaultroute - or am I on
the wrong track here. Please let me know. Thank you
