In our University (Univ. of Kalyani), we have UUCP dialup
connection to VECCAL. At present we are using a very old LINUX
version (Slakware 1.2.3). In another machine we have installed
Slackware LINUX 2.0.27 and trying to do the same. We are using
the configuration files from /var/lib/uucp/hdb_config.
/usr/lib/uucp/uuchk is telling that every thing OK.
Unfortunately when we are sending mail to some external address,
it is not automatically creating /usr/spool/uucp/veccal
directory (outgoing spool directory). Instead it is showing when
we use mailq command
(host map: lookup (domain address of the external address): deferred)
If any body can give some solution, we can use this version of
LINUX, or if there is any better LINUX for uucp dialup, that I
would also like to know.
