You can contact Mrs. Gargi Ghoshal of Vodateq. She is
selling the CDs from FreeOS.Com (Prakash Advani's
company)... the rate is generally Rs. 199 per CD. So a
2-CD RH 7.1 set wud set you back by Rs 398/-. Her
phone # is 417-5507.
BTW, since you are a professed newbie, let me share an
open secret abt REDHAT ;-) Whenever Redhat comes out
with a major version release it is __b_u_g_g_y__, the
next subsequent minor version release
(major_version_no.1) is basically a lot of bugfixes,
some of which are still broken or half-baked (no
wonder there are ppl calling it as DeadRat ;-) ...,
this is followed some time after by the next minor
version release ((major_version_no.2) which is
Stable-and-Good (TM).
This is the RHAT tradition.. 4.2 was stable, so was
5.2, 6.2, and we expect the same to happen with 7.2...
moral of the story... wait for RH 7.2... it shud be
coming out soon enuf.
OTOH, you can try Mandrake 8.0... it is built on top
of RH 7.1.. and IMO, if you are on a desktop system it
simply wrox!
hth,
