Our website has too many broken links... IMHO there no sense in adding a link to a
*beta* section... it would be better to make sure everything is working with the
distribution section before we make take it live. Besides someone needs to come up
with a redesign of the LUG home page... volunteers???

Well, its entirely possible with an little bit of extra coding.... but the idea was
that the person updating the sections can follow the instructions given as HTML
comments and simple add or remove the necessary lines to these sections. That way, the
updater doesn't have to worry about unwieldy HTML code, s/he can simple use the
existing ones as a template without worrying about breaking anything. The updation
links would be finally linked to the "SITEADMIN" link you can see at the bottom of the
left pane of getdistro.php link.

Russell (McOrmand) recently wrote to me (after I informed him of our decision to
revamp the site) that he is planning to migrate the mailing list to Mailman list
manager from mj. Mailman comes with its own comprehensive web-based interface. In face
of this fact, I'm not sure how much worthwhile it will be to create a web-interface
for mj right now....

It has been maintained at www.yahoogroups.com/group/ilug-cal/ since ever since we
moved to our own majordomo server ([EMAIL PROTECTED]|)

Just my Rs. 0.02... ;-)
