The whole linux machine will not be browsable.
Create a user (say lin1) in both windows and linux
with the same password.
Then edit the smb.conf file and set appropriate
permissions. Consult man pages and samba howto for
more details.
Then log on to windows as lin1. then go to netwok
neighbourhood and see if its browsable.
