Just to add some spice ;-P Iff u really want see the enduser customisation, then checkout MDK8.2beta2. It is having 2.4.17kernel with Xfree4.2. Most of the libs are bleeding edge ... so some of the precompiled stuff like Opera5/6 wont work (lib png dependecy problem in opera binary) ... but who cares about Opera when Konqueror Rocks. I am waiting for KDE3 integration in Mandrake8.2 [BTW, I am planning to bail out from GNOME after hearing the news of Sun,Ximian,Wipro allience for development of GNOME2.0 ...... ]
