Wow that is good to hear 26 people !
I couldnt make it this time around, Sunday mornings are not my time of the
week ;)
Just a thought re. the server, I have written code that allows redirection
via country of the user, can put it up so that say if the user is from India
he goes to the Indian server or else to the US server. If its worth while
ill refresh the code for the server,. I imagine its possible to do the same
via DNS as well , only no idea how to do it that way , mine is via SSI...
Perhaps we can have a download section on the website as well ? If i had
telnet/ssh i would certainly keep the server updated on a few things like
say... wine, OpenOffice or whatever people find interesting in general and a
pain to download at 2.5k but dont mind getting at 4k (I imagine we would get
a 4k download from the local server ?)
Another thought - I had a problem recently , i had to change my partition
info so --- Kernel Panic
Not a pleasant scene. Fortunately i had a backup so it didnt matter much as
far as work goes, but i did lose all the efforts to customise my machine to
what i had it as .
So my point is that how does one get out of this ? In case someone else or
I face this some other time, let me know on this issue please !
