i did try KDE3 on the mandrake, beaut of a Desktop, install the liquid theme from mosfet and XP is running !
Though im trying out Gnome at the moment, artsd is just not good with my sound card :( But Nautilus leaves a lot to be desired , Perhaps in 2.0 ? But i do doubt it since its based on Mozilla which is not going to be fast , even on a damm Beowulf i imagine.. Compared to Konqueror in KDE3.. Konqueror really just rips. I would even consider comparing the speed with IE . well not quite, but its rather fast..
