While galavanting over the net, I hit upon a tiny http
daemon (monkey) (30880 bytes) whose details are as follows:

Why I am placing this here is because this is the first
tiny server which I have installed which works in user space
as an user under $HOME ! Supports cgi-bin and static PHP. It
does not interfere with a networked server, and you can do
all your cgi-bin testing on your desktop without ever having
to bother about access to cgi-bin on the network ... I have
tested with shell and perl cgi-bin scripts and inline PHP in
html docs. FAST !!!
We have NT, SCO and Linux servers for different purposes
at Office. Tried it there. Works perfect ... need not bother
anybody else now for CGI testing or access to /htdocs any
more for personal jobs ...
$links http://localhost:2001/ ... and I am there !
Anybody with net jobs to do at personal space without
interfering with anybody, or asking assistance over a net-
work, this is it.
