-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I was just wondering - are there any plans to give away distro CD's at any of the xhibitions? If so, why not include Knoppix - the main piont being that a person can just boot of a Knoppix cd and have a fully functional Linux system - with nothing installed to the harddrive. Its a painless way for a user to try out the Linux experience.
I tried it and it autodetected all my hardware (though I have pretty much standard stuff), ran Mozilla & Gimp pretty well for a 'run from CD' app. Using this CD (and mentioning its main selling point) would let a lot more people play with Linux than if only distro CD's were given out - -- - ------------------------------------------------------------------- Rajarshi Guha <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> <http://jijo.cjb.net> GPG Fingerprint: 0CCA 8EE2 2EEB 25E2 AB04 06F7 1BB9 E634 9B87 56EE - ------------------------------------------------------------------- Brain fried -- Core dumped -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.7 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE9xDh9G7nmNJuHVu4RApzwAJ0XT+8dOT1uSCCxbnjI6HPmXIhyMQCg5fUj /ZZ7xCRrWIz+3wJndNUxgW0= =e9qP -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the body "unsubscribe ilug-cal" and an empty subject line.
