Hello,
I am offering you a bit help see if its the problem you are
facing....i faced this lots of times....

1. redhat fails to recognize /boot and / if you try to go beyond
10 GB....by recognize i meant lilo gives problems.

2. it happened to my PII which I bought in 1999 ..new pcs dont
experience this.

3. You may try Mandrake 8.1/9 didn;t gave this problem in my pc.

4. What i do is abit painstaking...but no probs now...

a. I partition my disk(20GB) in 5 drives.....format everyone
of them---

c: 3 GB -> i load win98 here.,..and stop
d: 100 mB -> modify to /boot
e: 3.5 GB -> modify to / and 300Mb swap
f: 7 GB -> modify to /usr
g: rest -> waste(games in windows)

this is bad process you may say but this solved my problem forever..

hope your probs ends too,
bye
