tathagata, "this is not specifically in response to this letter, but in response to the recent spate of off-topic mails on the list." i really do have the confidence in you to understand that you'd followed the thread. it was specifically mentioned that people should post me *off-list* if they are keen on doing so on the above mentioned subject line [and that the subject-lines on this list are way off the mark is another story !!], you really cannot be taking so much things into assumption while picking on this subject line. anyway since you did post it and since you do have a point, let us then for a moment read out exactly what is *relevant* to the list. relevance my dear sir is a very relative word and especially that proverb about meat and poison comes to mind. just to remind you that this is not meant to be an apology for the post[s] that i made, but just another point. and while we are on the issue of relevance, how does it feel to download ~12 mails all with the inanity "i agree"/"i disagree" to something.... these are things you feel the need to discuss with *friends* and list is sometimes the best we can get to a community feeling going. and that is why sometimes inanity does crop in as do sometimes pearls of wisdom... this is the end of my 2p and there will be no more on this line thanks for hitting the nail when there was none.. regards sm
