DSL connection from CalTel ? I guess you are referring to their DAIS
service.
Reliable ? tough one. When it works, it rocks. But cant recommend anyone yet
for commercial usage as off lately, I have been hearing downtime complaints
more often.

Yes, it does works with Linux. They assign you a LOCAL IP under their
Subnet. Currently they have four RADIUS servers connected to their Main
Servers over OFC (which has a bandwidth of 35 MB)
