"To bridge the digital divide in the country, the ministry of information technology 
(IT) is focusing on the development of technology tools for Indian languages.

Om Vikas, senior director, ministry of information technology, made this clear on 
Wednesday while inaugurating the Second International Workshop on Technology 
Development in Indian Languages, organised by the computer vision and pattern 
recognition (CVPR) unit of the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Calcutta."
