was reading up on quality implementation and standardisation of business processes. so a thought caused me to ponder a while, with the distributed and collaborative nature of development in OpenSource, how are standards maintained and benchmarked ? CVS is fine for repository purposes, but when benchmarking tools are applied for yard-sticking development, is it possible to apply currently prevalent methodologies ? how are projects standardised ? what levels of performance management are used ? or is the same model also applicable ? realise that these maybe naive queries but wish to know answers all the same regards sankarshan
