Hi all, Yesterday I met with Dr Thakur, he was extremely busy with the arrangement for the Guru's arrival. Officially the RMS speech is open to all, however space is a constraint. Those interested to listen to RMS are welcome, but you may have to stand to listen to him.
RMS will be speaking on: "The Free Software Movement and the GNU/Linux Operating System" Venue: Dr. K. P. Basu Memorial Hall @ JU Date: 18th January, 2003 Time : 3:00 PM The programme will be inaugerated by Prof A. R Thakur, Pro Vice Chancellor, JU and Prof Asok Nath Basu (VC, Jadavpur University) will preside. Those interested in attending needs to be at the venue by 2:30 PM IMPORTANT : RSVP -- I need to know off-list how many ppl want to attend the programme. Mail me @ [EMAIL PROTECTED] I'll be treating this on a first-come-first-served basis, after that its based on you luck in getting in.. remember persistence pays! ;-) I have given Dr Thakur a guesstimate figure of 10 based on the number of people who have shown interested to be present at RMS's talk. cheers, --indra -- To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the body "unsubscribe ilug-cal" and an empty subject line.
