Hi,

I may not be correct, but, please do correct me if i
am so.

Could not something that's proprietary, come with
something like a rootkit by default ? (I've heard that
one version of "doze" used to send directory listing
to M$. Could be terribly wrong here too...) Rootkits
are hard to detect, root-kits could be installed even
FLOSS machines too(poorly secured machines), but then
it's better not having a rootkit kinda thing it in a
default installation, ain't it ?

Regards,
Siva.
