The wisdom of this issue is much-debated, and we have chosen to do it this way
for what we believe are very good reasons. Please don't argue the point with us.
Still, once and for all I'll point out some of the reasons:

[1] We are not above the law of the land. The last time I heard someone
described the indian cyberlaws as draconian. You can't apply for anticipatory
bail if you are cracking!

[2] If the list allows such activities to go unhindered it is clearly aiding,
abetting and providing comfort to these criminals. In a best case scenario, the
list can be shut down, worst case, you land behind the bars.

[3] Discussions on cracking goes against the AUP (Acceptable Use Policy) of most
service providers around the world.

[4] These list policies are framed and implemented after a lot more thought and
taking into accout firmly established international practises and standards of
approved behaviour with considerations made for local conditions before coming
up with these rules.

> What I mean is don't you think that if a person knows how to crack, then
> he will be able to defend himself against crackers better?

Thats like saying if a person does drugs, s/he is better at preventing
proliferation of drugs in the society!!! Wat glorious logic! Get a clue ASAP.

While at it you may like to note the following as well:

Membership on this list is a privilege, it can be revoked by the list
administrator. The list admin may decide that your posts don't follow these
guidelines, and he or she is allowed a certain flexibility in this.

If he decides action must be taken, he may do any of the following (in order of
severity):

1) Notify you by private email of the infraction.

2) If this doesn't work, email the list regarding your conduct as a public
warning to you and others of like mind.

3) Un_subscribe you from the list.

4) Publicly announce your un_subscribing from the list.
