i've two queries :- 1. has any one tried linux WKS joining WinNT domain? like when we join window$ wks at WinNT PDC, we provide domain "user name", "password" along with "nt domain name". likewise i want my Linux box to join NT domain with NT domain user name / password. please don't tell me SAMBA joining NT domain. i don't need that. previously (only once) i did the same using pam_smb and it is possible using pam and winbind. i need the exact steps to configure it.
2. from my firewall box, i'm using iptables, i can't brows my window$ neighbourhood. it simply doesn't show any system arround. on my eth0 i'm accepting all the following protocols, netbios-dgm, netbios-ns, netbios-ssn in both the directions. can anyone show any hope of light? i'm using rh8.0 as my box. i've win2k as wins/pdc. please don't ask me to change win (wins/pdc) to linux for an ease. system is not my scope of work, so i wont touch or change it. regards sibayan -- To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the body "unsubscribe ilug-cal" and an empty subject line.
