Hi all,

Once upon a time a linux wizard in an unnamed kingdom decided to use Linux for
running a J2EE app server that the kingdom needed to manage its time. However,
the evil warlords who ruled there decided to scrape his plans, and chose to use
W2K boxen instead. This is a story of the Evil and Doom the beset the kingdom
when they walked the Evil Path! ;-)

Jokes aside: This is an interview with webmaster Joe Sechman, who recounts the
tale and how the unnamed company is now coming round and is perhaps getting
ready to embrace a FLOSS based solution.

"One of the reasons -- probably the biggest reason -- was that my Linux
experience was not certified. Secondly, the execs were afraid of the word
'free.' Coming from the proprietary world, they perceived 'free' to mean
inferior."
- Joe Sechman

"The biggest problem with our current implementation (W2K-based) is a lack of
time to fully understand and support our solution. It contains more bells than
Santa's sleigh! We've also had intermittent problems with Win2000 OS stability
and unpredictability while applying service packs."
