Welcome back to LIVE mode! *grins* Thats really a good way to handle the situation, kintu application of the same funda here poses a small problem. At the risk of sounding elitist, the apparent benefit in biomech m/l at IITKGP is that *you* have a *basic, minimum level* among your m/l group. Here the membership profile being far more diverse this funda may not be possibly transplanted in-to-to. However there is definite merit in the suggestion that once an interesting problem has been solved, the person with the query should definitely post if his/her problem has been solved and how it got solved (e.g. following "X's" suggestion helped me solve the problem). This way we not only encourage ppl to come forward and help more, we also add value to the list archives, ppl can search them and see which suggestions got the things to work. For example, Nirmalya Lahiri had posted a prob a few days back abt not being able to configure local printer on LTSP client nodes.. arko had given a suggestion (although he didn't even understand the problem, but no harm there)... wat happened was that Nirmalya himself was able to solve the problem later (it was a config oversight on his part). Perhaps Nirmalya can post how he identified and debugged the problem. *hint* *hint* just my 2 p --indra -- To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the body "unsubscribe ilug-cal" and an empty subject line.
