It seems like this month's ILUG-CAL meeting is seriously gonna be short of
volunteers for talks/presentations/demonstrations and also meeting attendees.
First of all, I apologize for the late announcement of the call for talks as
I was having my own problems.
As it has been in the last few meetings, the number of attending members is
dwindling fast. Last month's meeting saw only 11 members coming. As we all
know, we do not have enough funds for hosting a lavish meet and the members
who come into each months meeting, contribute for the refreshments and other
expenses incurred by means of cover charges. In such a condition, making
seating arrangements for 25 people and paying for the seats, when only 11
people come up and arranging for their refreshments and see them go to waste,
is not very good for the ILUG-CAL funds.
So it would tremendously help if the members *sure* to join the next meet to
be held in Saturday, 14th June, 2003 could mail me off-list and let me know
so that I can make arrangements for just the right number of people supposed
to come + 2 (just in case). Just a blank e-mail with the subject "Coming to
June Meeting" would do fine (no fancy counters used!).
