[# i'm having box installed win98 && win2000as within the first 13gb of a 20gb IDE hard disk.
# i installed rh 8.0 in the last 7gb of that hard disk, without creating any "/boot" partition under 1024 cylinder.
# i created two linux partitions 1) "/"(hda8) and 2)"swap" respectively.
# i installed linux loader(i.e. checked with "lilo and "grub" both one at a time) on the superblock of the root partition of the Linux drive or partition(hda8) and created a linux boot diskette.
# i created an image of the linux boot sector (with command "dd if=/dev/hda8 of=/bootsect.lnx bs=512 count=1") and copied it to the "c:\" and altered "boot.ini" with an entry as follows:
c:\bootsect.lnx="Red Hat Linux8.0"
and its well displaying in the win2000as boot loader during the system startup.]
Now the problem::every time i select the menu "Red hat Linux 8.0" from the boot loader of win2000as it is taking me back to the very first screen of system startup and continuing as usual like checking RAM, detecting HDD etc. etc. but not in linux..
plz tell me what is the solve...
