Yes /dev/hda is very suspicious:

can you give the output of

"dmesg | grep CD"

that will clear any doubt.

This is my output:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] root]# dmesg | grep CD
hdb: CRD-8520B, ATAPI CD/DVD-ROM drive
