Hi,

Just connected a Olympus Camedia D-380 over USB to my laptop running SuSE 8.2 (OK... i
know its not the latest SuSE around so just hold the smart ones ;-).

On connecting, the digicam is detected as a Olympus C-2040L w/USB model. GTKam,
DigiKam both failed to d/l the pix stored on the camera. However, the cam is mounted
as an USB mass storage device (i.e. SCSI over USB) and hence I get an icon on my
desktop -- a SCSI drive -> sda1. As long as the cam is connected, I can browse it as a
normal storage media -- cut, copy and view files from it.

dont have the time to tweak around, so does anyone have an idea how to get the cam
apps running?

tia,
