Hello friends As Parthapratim, one of the very first guys to give me information about linux through a text of his in 'Apar', a Bangla Little Magazine, told me on phone last night, he has Fedora installed in his box. And he needs to know what are the FLOSS softwares to work with his video editing jobs. He is a filmmaker and he now wants to do his jobs in Linux. And if there is anyone to help him in installing or using the softwares? He wanted to know from me, if there is any professional help available? And all these. I know absolutely nothing about video editing or these multimedia editing softwares. My highest run in this line is making *.avi files from vcds, using mencoder, that too in a horses writing way, by reading 'man mplayer' and doing it, without understanding the details: Tathatagata told me that it takes less diskspace that way. And in the literature of the latest release of Gimp i came to discover that the very Gimp whom i always knew as a graphics software could edit video and all. Please help him: i would if i could.
