Hi Mandar, Kaushik, Indranil, and the list: Thank you for the notes and the insights. I followed Mandar's suggestions, and added "/usr/local/lib" to the /etc/ld.so.conf file as the superuser. And then tried installation of refdb using "rpm -ivh --nodeps". This time the message was that it was already installed ! Go figure! In any case, the program now seems to work, but I am still learning to use it, and haven't yet been able to find the refdb examples directory, in fact I cannot locate the refdb directory at all.
Thanks a million folks, Arindam ps. No, I am not going "back" to the Endnote Windows, still stickin' and fightin' with Linux. 8-), -A. -- To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the body "unsubscribe ilug-cal" and an empty subject line. FAQ: http://www.ilug-cal.org/node.php?id=3
