Hi all, I will be having a distro update on my home box, and I need some advice. I am thinking about installing Gentoo on the system, but there is one catch - I am seriously bandwidth starved. I run a AMD Athlon XP (2600+) system with 512 megs of RAM, and have around 10 GB to spare. So can the Gentoo gurus on this list suggest what would be the best path for me - so that I get the best possible performance without using too much of bandwidth. (I have a 128 kbps connection (24 hrs) and can have around 20 Megs of transfer per day).
