PK, Listadmin:

Can we stop here? This is getting ridiculous...

Yesterday i also sat for about and hour wondering whether i should reply to PK's post or not - but then decided not to. My understanding of the issue was as follows - "Keyboard designing would be a "hardware" based issue whereas "keyboard mapping" would be a software based issue." And PK's arguments et al were tending more and more toward designing issues which IMHO sounded OT to me.

On a personal note, PK I too am a member of various groups and in every list it is the list-admin(s) who reign supreme. And normally as a list policy courtesy once a list-admin says "cease and desist" other members do so - unless of course a person is "troll"ing. As the ILUG-Cal is a small community we tend to know most members personally but that does not mean that we take leave of list-policies or of our senses.

PK, you are one of the senior most members of the group and as such can i request you to "forgive and forget."

The bane of Linux has been personal ego's and the immense "fragmentation-of-combined-resources" it faces in the face of competition.

Let us not make ilug-cal another chapter in linux history - rather let us all work toward making Linux a viable, cost effective alternative for bringing computers and computing to the masses. That means that it is not QUOTE the time to leave the group UNQUOTE but to put our personal differences aside in face of competition and unite as one

Warm regards

RVK
