Hi all, Ankur has just started to work on Bangla SuSE (target, SuSE 9.2), and as usual, we need volunteers for doing the translation and testing.
If you are interested in testing out the fonts for SuSE - please install the following RPM files 1. ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/projects/m17n/9.1/i586/fontconfig-2.2.96.20040728-3.1.i586.rpm 2. ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/projects/m17n/9.1/noarch/fonts- bangla-0.20040805-0.1.noarch.rpm To enable the keyboard, please open up Konsole/xterm/whatever, and use the following command: setxkbmap -symbols "us(pc105)+ben(probhat)" -option "grp:shift_toggle" Pressing the both the shift keys at the same time will switch the layout to Bangla - for an idea of the keymapping look at http://www.bengalinux.org/images/probhat_layout.png If you are interested in translating SuSE, please take a look at http://www.bengalinux.org/projects/suse/ and join us at [EMAIL PROTECTED] . We'll have a separate mailing list for the subproject if the interest level is high enough. -thanks- Sayamindu -- Sayamindu Dasgupta (ààààààààà àààààààà) [http://sayamindu.randomink.org/ramblings] -- To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the body "unsubscribe ilug-cal" and an empty subject line.
