<cross-post>

Hi,

Koha (http://www.koha.org) - The first open source library management
s/w is finding new homes in India. Almost all the installations have
come up in the last 6 - 8 months.

Some of us who have been implementing ILS or Digital Library systems
using Koha have decided to come together and form the Indian Koha
Interest Group (KIG).

The KIG will be a forum for people wanting to move to Koha, focussing on
specific Indian issues. The forum will also try and encourage Indian
contribution to Koha codebase and associated artifacts.

Already there has been a suggestion from Baiju M to create a MARC
database of Indian Books to lessen the burden on people implementing
Koha systems in India.

You can subscribe to the mailing list by signing up at:

cheers,
-indra.
