thanks for your valuable suggestions. the authority is considering a 
bandwidth increase. presently its on 64K.

you couldn't term JDKs as open so i used the second. IBMs JDK has been 
used for class compilations.

almost everywhere its in 3rd normal form excepting some cases where parts 
were denormalized. actully the G2C component forms only 30 percent of the 
application. rest is internal processing and hence the db size. its 
presently on a dual xeon IBM x235 with 512 MB memory.
