there is a problem in installing linux(RHEL)3.1 in a HP server.
To the best of my knowledge, Red Hat does not have a Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3.1. It is either RHEL 2.1 or RHEL 3.
Do please find out if you are installing the proper RHEL for the particular machine.
configuration is like this---->
1>146x3(harddisk scsi) 2>4gb ram 3>2x3.2ghz cpu. 4>totally HP machine and its parts.
Providing a make and model # would perhaps be of more helpful. Indeed you might find out the machine for yourself at http://hardware.redhat.com
kindly help out me in this situation.
You could perhaps contact the Red Hat support desk, [EMAIL PROTECTED] and follow up the ticket # issued to you for further detail.
In that mail, please do provide the ProductID of your RHEL subscription as well as the make and model # of the HP machine.
Also if your machine is an OEM prebundled RHEL installation, escalate the problem through the designated pathway provided to you for your OEM.
