Hey Sumeet, 

   What kernel are you using on that slack?  The slack 10 kernel is
kind of old...  I could get things like my tv tuner and a usb webcam
to work on slack quite effortlessly after compiling a kernel.org 2.6.9
kernel.   Btw, slack is planning to do a 10.1 release.  I hope it
comes around soon and that Patrick decides on a 2.6 kernel!
  I think its that 2.6 kernel that made Fedora/Suse/Mandrake work
flawlessly with your cam...  Just my 4 annas..
