Hi,
good news is i am now sharing my internet cable (broadband) connection
between my two pc's (vectorlinux) and my brother's pc upstairs (winXP)
for concurrent use --

using an old retired p1 box with only a fdd ( no hdd,cd,
kbd,mouse or monitor ) 32mb ram and an el-cheapo ( 600.00 Rs ) switch
on my lan ; using this box as a router running coyote linux ( easy ).

it's even a SPI ( iptables ) firewall , and can do traffic limitint ( QOS )
on the fly .

you can use the same set-up for dial-up , dsl , adsl .pppoe etc according
to your needs .

it's both fast and cheap - and uses linux for routing . try this out guys
if you want to share your connection between multiple pcs .

- Pinaki .
