I have downloaded the tarball for RIM use as modem from -
http://www.geocities.com/jaybratab/linux/
and installed the same as per the instructions therein.
I have LG RD 2030, and am able see the USB to Serial Converter in dmesg
after I give the command 'modprobe pl2303'.
But with 'connectr' nothing happens.
I checked in the /var/log/messages and I see that pppd started and
stopped immediately -

What else can I do ? BTW, I'm on Debian(Knoppix).
