what is the model no ?
I had this problem, sometimes only while booting with
fedora 2 (mine is 17 inch 700E LG studioworks.)
But from fedora 3 its fine. with fedora 1 also it was
OK.
If it happens try to boot in character mode and then
type "startx" after login. If it doesnt help try with
lower resolutions like 1024x768.
