Those who have been users of Gentoo, using SELinux with the targetted policies installed and running squid (with default permissions) - does it throw a series of errors related to permissions and run levels ?
/me understands that the question is a bit vague, an offline post of the error messages if any would help.
Gentoo for x68 would do fine.
