That is what has to be decided at the meeting. Whether we are going to participate, if yes then what are we going to present, etc.
So there are 2 decisions to be arrived at during this meeting:
1. Would iLUG-Cal participate ? and 2. If it is yes to the above, what is the goal of participation.
Sitting a bit far from the scene of action, it is not fair for me to judge and pass a comment as to whether or not iLUG-Cal should/could participate.
However, if the meeting finally boils down to discussion of point [2], can we look at the following things:
[1] A small handout [bilingual in Bengali/English] somewhat along the lines of what FSF does talking about iLUG-Cal and dipankar-da's book on GNU/Linux
[2] Demonstration (if there are machines in the stall) of *other* distributions like Cobind, Progeny etc
[3] Collective representation from all LUG coordinators of colleges under WBUT along with the WBUT LUG and taking steps towards an organisation formation
Participation for the sake of participation is not really justified given the amount of resources that will be required to be put in. I would suggest that *if* iLUG-Cal does decide to participate, let there be a defined objective to it and perhaps a theme.
