Hello everybody,
This is another day for ilug-cal on BF2k5. I was late again for some personal problems. On 1stFeb I was there with one of my friend Avijit, he is also from a lug group (JULUG) and also a fan of Linux. After I reach there I was unable to find anybody demonstrating Linux. The crowd simply comes into Linux machines and tried to open softwares one by one with multiple clicking. I am comfortable with RedHat series so I started with Fedora. Today we have 3rd machine fully running FC3. At first it was difficult for me to handle both PCs. Avijit was on SUSE machine and start ed demonstrating it to the crowd. 1stFeb was also a crowdy day but not like 31stJan may be due to the bad weather. After a few time Anshul, TathagataDa and JayabrataDa came and join us without any delay. We found a lot of people who used Linux in some previous days, and then stopped working due to bad graphics and not so much softwares available. After we show them current Linux, each of them was very impressed, clarify a lots of queries (although we are novice Linux users, but we face no problem answering it). Then JayabrataDa installed a new distro (name may be FreeDucks, I can't remember now) based on Debian and it's runs very quick, and I think it will attract the kids a lot. It is a fantastic distro, and as interface is XFCE so X is very fast. But from about 6PM the AmarPC closed their entrance gate for Shilajit. Shilajit will be there to release his new album, we wait some time for the people still inside the stall for demonstrating Linux. We were not interested about Shilajit, and finally decide that, as no more people will come (due to closed Entrance Gate) so can leave and we choose the "Exit" gate. SougataDa was predetermined to have some food for us, and he arranged "MasalaDhosa" for us. SougataDa, a lot of thanks to you from us for Dhosa. Dhosa with rain was suparb, and every other members missed it for not to be there. SougataDa told me that WBUT students was there on the first half, good suport by WBUT students. I think I missed some more ILUG- CAL members whom I dont know, but were present at the stall. What about next day i.e. today? JayabrataDa confirmed that he will come to start Linux, and then? Sorry, I may not be there today. So, who will come today?

bye
prosun
