I had made photocopies of handouts of half A4 size
to distribute. There were 300 of them
and on Saturday more than 200 have already been
dstributed.
I was there from 3 pm till 8:30 pm. Even when I left
the stall
at 8:30 the bookfair was stil crowded.
On the 3 machines were Freeduc, Fedora bangla desktop
and
Vector Linux live CD.
The concept of live CD was new to many and they were
really inpressed
A lot of people showed interest in Linux
although most of them were asking about the price of
PC and
what to do in lottery, etc only to be disappointed to
know that we were not AMAR PC people.
Since the web site adress is given in the handout,
we can expect lot of new members joining the
list.
A very exciting thing was that
one of the visitors turned out to be a volunteer (I
cant remember his name).
He is a student and came to the stall at about 4 pm.
After he got to know that we are a Linux User Group
he started explaining other visitors what this Linux
is all about.
He was there for about 3 hours.
Another person from Techno LAB was very eager to join
our list.
Today is the last day and the crowd will be more than
yesterday.
I can only say that this can never be called a crowd, we can rather say it
a TSUNAMI of peoples, YES, REALLY IT IS
I am not sure who are coming today. I may be there in
the afternoon.
Palash has some handouts and the remaing are with me.
