Hello friends, I am using Mandrake 10.1. I am experiencing problems while trying to connect to net using BSNL's A/C free dial up connection using my Conexant HFS 56K modem. I have installed the drivers from Linuxant. when I start kppp and try to connect it dials the number and the modem makes the familiar sounds. The log window says the welcome message from BSNL, and says the username and password is being verified. but after some time it says timeout, advices me to check my username and password, and redials the number. this is going on for past few days. The strangest thing is that I had successfully connected before , and I have not consciously changed those settings. while using Windows I am facing same problems. Any suggestion/ help. (I will try to contact the customer care at BSNL, but I don t have high hopes from them) Thanks. Palash.
