Jaybrata Da, I am having problem to post messages directly

Hi everyone
As it is Off-topic so kindly send your suggestions directly to

I need help to select a good motherboard for AMD 64Bit 3000+ (754) system.
I have sorted-out two Motherboards. (I may also add Fx5700 AGP card)
These two are -
ASUS K8N (nForce 250GB Chipset) 800MHz only.
ASUS K8V (VIA Chipset) 800 MHz Hyper Transport.
Fact (google search) -
Fact 1 : 85% says nForce chipset is better than VIAChipset.
Fact 2 : 70% say that the 'Best motherboard for A64 is ASUS K8V'
(VIAChipset).
Point of Consideration -
the feature of AMD64 called 'HyperTransport' .
(I really can't understand difference between DMA and HyperTransport,
but that is not my point.)
Problem -
If I choose ASUS K8N then
though it is nForce chipset, this MB doesn't have HT support.
So it would be same as using a P4 HT processor with non-HT
motherboard.
If I choose ASUS K8V then
though it is VIA chipset, this MB does have HT support.
a Solution -
Well, there is a solution. There are MSI motherboards
(K8NM-ILSR, K8N Neo-FSR, K8N Neo Platinum)
These MBs are nForce Chipset with HT support.
But this are 'MSI' and those are 'ASUS', far far difference in
performance, isn't it ?
Please, guide me to select a good Motherboard for A64, nothing official
about it.
Thank you (in advance)
Ayan Debnath
Kolkata.
