Imagine someone arranging a fantastic football match at Eden Gardens (say Argentina - Brazil). While everybody would appreciate the quality of the match, but since the pitch will be destroyed, it will recieve a lot of criticism from all cricket lovers. Hence the Cricket board would step in and try to stop the match from happening. This is the closest analogy I could find out from the recent postings.
